SQL Developer

Granite Telecommunications has an immediate need for a junior to mid level Database Developer to join our fast growing organization. Qualified candidates should have database administration and development experience with  SQL Server.  The right candidate will also have experience in delivering enterprise grade solutions, including transactional and analytical systems for large volumes of data.  This offers a great opportunity to work with the latest development tools in a heterogeneous database environment.

Responsibilities:

• Writing stored procedures, queries, triggers, packages, etc.
• Converting existing embedded SQL code into stored procedures
• Working with development team to optimize queries
• Contributing to the design of our enterprise grade solutions
• Writing reports based on well-defined requirements
• Supporting the current monthly billing process
• Developing new billing application

Requirements:

• 1-3 years of database development experience
• Experience with SQL Server 2000 and 2005 
• Experience with Enterprise Manager, SQL Server Management Studio
• PL/SQL and/or T-SQL programming experience
• Experience planning, designing, and building databases
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Experience with Oracle 9i or 10g a plus
• Experience with TOAD  a plus
• Reporting Tool experience (e.g. Reporting Services or Crystal Reports) a plus
• .Net experience a plus
• Microsoft Access a plus
• SQL Server 2000 DTS/ SQL Server 2005 Integration Services (SSIS) a plus
• SQL Server 2005 Analysis Services (SSAS) a plus
